The Genesis is a mid‐IR spectrometer with a full‐sized sample compartment and a baseplate that is capable of accommodating most standard sampling accessories. Win FIRST software is used to control the spectrometer and to acquire and manipulate spectra.

System Specifications:

Resolution: 1cm-1, full width at half height, absorbance, with boxcar apodization.

Detector: LiTaO3, standard; DTGTS and MCT microscope optional.

Signal-to-Noise Ratio: 1000:1 with LitaO3; 2000:1 with DTGS.
Peak-to-peak in four seconds at 4cm-1 resolution.

Scanning Velocity (Laser Clock Frequency):

Standard, 0.316cm/s (6.25 kHz)
DTGS detector, 0.395 cm/s (6.25kHz)
MCT microscope, 1.582 cm/s (25kHz)

Spectral Range: 6000-350 cm-1 standard with KBr beamsplitter.
Purge: Sealed and desiccate interferometer chamber, with clear inner cover for viewing interferometer and optics.
Source: High-intensity, air-cooled source for the mid-infrared range.

Sample Compartment: Width, 19.3675 cm (7 5/8"). Depth, 21.9075cm (8 5/8").
Beam height is 6.3cm (2 1/2") above the baseplate.
