Description
The Invitrogen Qubit 4 Fluorometer is a benchtop microvolume device designed to accurately measure DNA, RNA, or protein quantities, using microvolume samples from 1 μL to 20 μL. Qubit 4 Fluorometers boast an on-board reagent calculator, and rapid quantification in less than three seconds per sample. It can measure intact RNA in under five seconds using unique dyes to distinguish between large intact RNA and small degraded RNA.
The Qubit 4 fluorometer and assay kits measure fluorescent dyes, with the dyes emitting a signal only when attached to specific biological molecules (DNA, RNA, or protein). This offers higher sensitivity than UV absorbance. The fluorometers use curve-fitting algorithms to develop calibration curves and calculate unknown sample concentrations by comparing fluorescence levels to standard samples.
This Invitrogen Fluorometer allows assay menu customisation, including selection of your lab’s most common assays and the creation of new assays. Featuring easy-to-use touchscreen menus, it provides quick and reliable results within seconds. Data export options include USB, Wi-Fi cloud connectivity, or direct USB connection. It also features a colour touchscreen, quick warm-up time, storage of up to 1,000 results, and connectivity through USB and Wi-Fi.
