Description
The Invitrogen Luminex 200 System offers a fast and robust flow-based analysis by combining three core xMAP Technologies. The system incorporates a flow cytometry-based instrument with fluorescently dyed, micron-sized polystyrene microspheres, which act as both the identifier and the solid surface to build the assay.
The Invitrogen Luminex 200 has a high multiplexing capability, allowing up to 100 different tests in a single reaction volume. It operates with a sample volume range of 25 µL to 80 µL and a dynamic range of at least 3.5 logs (RP1). The system can process up to 12,800 tests per hour and features a 96-well plate format, with a read time of just 45 minutes per plate and a system warm-up time of 30 minutes.
The Luminex 200 demonstrates high sensitivity, detecting protein assays with a range from 0.06 to 1 pg/mL and RNA assays with 1000 RNA copies per target. It uses a 532 nm (green) reporter laser and is compatible with Invitrogen ProcartaPlex Multiplex Immunoassays and Invitrogen QuantiGene Plex Multiplex Gene Expression Assays.
