Description
The Fischer X-Ray XAN-FD Metal Testing XRF is a high-performance Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (EDXRF) designed for precise elemental analysis. It is capable of detecting elements ranging from Aluminium (13) to Uranium (92), allowing for the simultaneous analysis of up to 24 elements in a single measurement. This makes it an ideal solution for quality control and materials testing.
Equipped with a bottom-up measuring direction, the XAN-FD ensures accurate and repeatable results, particularly when working with small or irregularly shaped samples. The instrument features a micro-focus tungsten tube with a beryllium window, providing high-intensity X-ray output for optimal detection sensitivity. Users can select from multiple aperture diameters (0.2 mm, 0.6 mm, 1 mm, and 2 mm) to tailor measurements to specific samples.
The spectrometer is fitted with a Silicon PIN X-ray detector, combined with Peltier cooling, delivering a resolution of ≤ 180 eV, ensuring precise spectral separation and enhanced measurement accuracy. The XY stage and fixed sample support provide stability and ease of use, while the generously sized sample placement area (318 x 327 mm) accommodates a wide range of samples.
