Module Breakdown of the Agilent 1260 Infinity/1100 HPLC System with Quat Pump, Colcomp and VWD
The first module of the Agilent 1260/1100 HPLC System is a 1260 Infinity II Quaternary Pump.
Features of Agilent 1260 Infinity II Quaternary Pump:
- Extended power range of up to 600 bar, allowing the use of smaller particle size columns as well as higher viscous solvents, resulting in higher resolution and faster separations
- Virtually pulse-free, well mixed and stable solvent flows, thanks to its dual floating, precise servo-controlled pistons
- Ideal for research and routine applications in the food, environmental and pharmaceutical and for method development
- Wide flow range of up to 10 mL/min
- Convenient access speeds up method development, preparation of mobile phases and system flushing as well as providing greater flexibility
- Easy, fast and secure transfer of methods from HPLC to sub-2-micron columns
The second module of the Agilent 1260/1100 HPLC System is an 1100 Thermostatted Column Compartment.
Features of Agilent 1100 Series ColComp
- Peltier heating and cooling from 10 degrees below ambient up to 80 degrees Centigrade
- Holds up to three 30-cm columns
- Two independently programmable heat exchangers
- Electronic column-identification module
The third module of the Agilent 1260/1100 HPLC System is a 1260 Infinity Variable Wavelength Detector, designed to deliver robust quantification of trace level components and more analyte information per run.
Features of Agilent 1260 Infinity VWD :
- Deuterium lamp for high-intensity and low detection limit over a wavelength range of 190 to 600 nm
- Easy front access to the lamp and flow cell for quick replacement
- Built-in holmium oxide filter for fast wavelength accuracy verification
- Dual-wavelength capabilities for more analyte information per run
- Fast wavelength optimization with stop-flow wavelength scanning
- Radio frequency identification technology for flow cells as well as lamps for maximum data traceability
