We recently completed a successful shipment of several Applikon bioreactors to a pharmaceutical facility in Germany. Bioreactors are highly specialised pieces of equipment – sensitive, heavy, and of significant value. So ensuring we packed them securely for international transport was essential.
The process began with a full clean-down of each unit to prepare them for shipping. We then wrapped each bioreactor in high-density foam and cellophane for protection against shocks, vibration, and moisture. Once wrapped, we carefully loaded the units into large, custom-built wooden crates. These crates were internally reinforced with timber bracing to keep the equipment stable and upright during transit. Attention to detail at this stage is crucial; the aim is to ensure everything arrives exactly as it left.
We’re pleased to report that these Applikon bioreactors reached their new home in perfect condition. They’re now fully operational and supporting pharmaceutical production in Germany.
