At Richmond Scientific, we take pride in ensuring that equipment is handled by our own staff through every stage of the process–from disposal, to packing, to eventual delivery.  The following photos show a laboratory clearance in Cambridge and the items being packaged up for export to the Middle East:

Our Packing Procedure - We use Stratocell expanded foam which has outstanding protective qualities. In addition we use expanding foam bags for cushioning. These are all enclosed in waterproof polythene wrap that provides a barrier against any moisture or airborne dust in transit. Equipment is secured on packing stillages within the external case and all equipment is positioned on a cushion of expanded foam that prevents any damage during transit. These images show the packaging of a GCMS system from start through to finish, pre packing with Wendy, packing of a Genetic Sequencer and finally, a microscope illustrating expanding bag protection.

All equipment is checked and tested before dispatch. Here are some photographs that illustrate this. We are skilled in packing and crating equipment that will withstand the toughest journeys, including overland transport in remote regions such as Sub Saharan Africa and  South America.
