About Us
Richmond Scientific Ltd was founded by Nick Edmond. Nick has been involved in trading scientific and laboratory equipment and instrumentation for over 20 years he is considered one of the UK’s leading experts in sourcing and advising on used laboratory equipment.
Leading UK finance companies utilise his inside knowledge when requesting open market valuations, usually in connection with financial restructuring or due diligence requirements prior to a merger or acquisition.
He is a family man with two boys aged Eighteen and Sixteen, his wife Wendy is the company accountant. Richmond takes its name from an amalgam of Nick’s first born son’s name Richard and Edmond.
When Nick is not at work he loves to Ski, Cycle and enjoys the company of his family and friends. Nick is also a patron of Bolton Lads and Girls Club. He spent some years as a Scout leader from 1984 to 2006. In an idle moment he calculated he had spent almost a year of his life under canvas, in all weathers!
